Expanding your bereavement support
Losing a loved one can profoundly affect a student’s emotional and academic well-being, creating challenges that require compassionate and specialised support. At Edward’s Trust we adhere to the highest standards of care, and operate across all the tiers as outlined by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) three-component model. You can be sure that the support needs of your students will be fully assessed, and individual tailored work will be provided
We offer three key types of bereavement support: specialist counselling to provide a safe and private space for students to process their grief, well-being therapies that promote relaxation and emotional regulation, and youth support groups that connect students with peers who share similar experiences, fostering understanding and community.
In addition to directly supporting students, Edward’s Trust also empowers school staff through group work and training sessions. These programmes equip staff with essential skills and insights to better support bereaved students in their care, ensuring that no child feels overlooked during such a difficult time. Please note that some training sessions may incur a charge.
Our outcomes are evaluated using nationally recognised methodologies, ensuring that the support we provide makes a meaningful and measurable difference in the lives of students and their school communities. Referring a student to Edward’s Trust is simple – just contact us, and our team will guide you through the process to ensure timely and appropriate care. Together, we can support students in navigating their grief and building a brighter future.
