Holistic care for mind and body

Grief affects your emotions, your body and overall wellbeing. Our wellbeing therapies take a holistic approach to grief, supporting the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual effects of loss. If you are just beginning your grief journey or seeking additional ways to find balance, our therapies offer a compassionate space for renewal.

Through a variety of relaxing and restorative therapies, we help you reconnect with your inner strength and sense of calm. From mindfulness sessions to therapeutic massage, each therapy is tailored to your individual needs to provide a supportive and nurturing experience. Together with your wellbeing therapist, you will agree on the most appropriate therapeutic journey, with up to six sessions of your chosen therapy, ensuring a structured and personalised approach to your healing.

Our sessions are available in person, online video or in outdoor settings, depending on what feels most comfortable for you. Every therapy is free of charge, offering you the flexibility and support you need in your own time.

We invite you to get involved

Yoga

Yoga combines breath-work, mindfulness and gentle movement to connect the mind and body. These sessions focus on improving flexibility, strength, and a sense of calm, no matter your fitness level. Sessions can be held via online video, in a park near you or even in the comfort of your home or garden.

Personal training

If you’d like to explore fitness as part of your healing, our personal training sessions are tailored to your goals. Whether you’re interested in improving flexibility, building strength, or creating a personalised fitness programme, these sessions provide a supportive introduction to physical wellbeing. Sessions can take place via online video, in a nearby park or at your home.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness helps you focus on the present moment, encouraging gentle, non-judgmental awareness. Through breathing exercises, meditation, and mindfulness walking, you can learn techniques to calm both your body and mind. Sessions are available one-to-one or in small groups, indoors or outdoors, including tranquil walks in Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

Therapeutic massage

Therapeutic massage provides deep relaxation, helping restore balance and ease physical tension often linked to grief. From headaches to insomnia or muscle soreness, massage relieves stress-related symptoms while promoting recovery. Choose Aromatherapy or Swedish massage, tailoring sessions to your needs.

Open air open mind

This unique mindfulness session takes place at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, using the beauty of nature to inspire calm and reflection. Explore mindfulness techniques in a natural setting that nurtures your well-being and supports your healing journey.

Walk and talk

Walk and Talk sessions combine gentle exercise with supportive conversation about your overall wellbeing. Whether you’d like to discuss diet, fitness, or routines, these walks in Birmingham Botanical Gardens provide a relaxing and open space to explore your needs.

Wellbeing workshops

Our wellbeing workshops provide a supportive space to relax, recharge, and develop practical self-care techniques. Offered as one-to-one sessions or small group half-day workshops, they are open to anyone currently or previously supported by Edward’s Trust, including family members. "I have thoroughly enjoyed accessing the well-being service provided by Edward's Trust over the past 12 months. I believe this support has positively impacted me and my family. Meeting Sophie at my local park for a walk, I have learnt to enjoy the walking. The outdoor green space is calming and helps improve my mental state."
