My name is David Christie and I am a patron of Edward’s Trust. I taught in a number of Birmingham Primary Schools and was in education for thirty seven years before finally retiring after twenty three years as a Head teacher at Bells Farm Primary School. We regularly donated money to Edward’s Trust and on my retirement I was invited to help out as a volunteer. That was nine years ago and during this time I have been actively involved in a variety of annual fund raising events such as golf days, carnivals, fetes, supermarket collections, giving talks and attending functions on behalf of the Trust. I am 67 years old, married to Benjamin and live in Kings Norton, Birmingham. We have seven lovely grandchildren who we see on a regular basis and with hobbies such as golf, woodwork and travel, there is still some time to help out at Edward’s Trust on a regular basis. I hope that I can be a part of the future of Edward’s Trust as we continue to offer invaluable support to bereaved families.
