I am a Chartered Accountant with over 35 years’ experience in various financial roles across a number of industries. Having graduated from Lancaster University and joining Deloittes in 1978, I eventually established my own consultancy business in 1993 and now have interests in a number of training and education companies helping adults with learning disabilities gain new life skills. I recently graduated from an Aston University business growth programme planned to develop my strategic skills. I am also a non-executive director of an Alzheimer’s social enterprise based in the Midlands and chairman of a church community centre.
Joining the Trust in the early 1990’s, I have experienced the many challenges that charities face but am continually inspired by the skills and hard work of staff, volunteers, patrons and fellow trustees. To see the phenomenal impact on families makes all this effort so worthwhile and reinforces my commitment to developing the Trust even further in order to meet the changing needs of families experiencing loss.
