We are entering an important period of transition at Edward’s Trust, and we want to share an update with our community.
As previously announced, Clare Martin will be stepping down as CEO at the end of June. While recruitment for a permanent successor continues, the Board has put interim arrangements in place to ensure stability and continuity. We would like to thank Clare for her continued leadership and support through this transition.
Christine Bodkin, formerly Chair of Trustees, has stepped down from the Board to take on the role of Acting CEO for the remainder of the financial year or until such point a permanent successor is found. Christine is a founding member of Edward’s Trust and has played a central role in shaping the organisation since its early days. She was instrumental in establishing our bereavement services in 1993 and went on to serve as CEO for many years.
With a long-standing commitment to holistic bereavement support and a deep understanding of the organisation’s history, services and values, Christine brings both continuity and experienced leadership at a critical time.
Clare will continue to support the organisation over the coming weeks as Finance and Transition Lead, focusing on financial oversight and ensuring a structured and responsible handover.
Thank you for your continued support.
The Board of Trustees
