4 O’Clock Cake is an important Edward’s Trust tradition with a long history, dating back to the first years of the charity. Back in Edward’s House, where we supported families who had children in Birmingham Children’s Hospital, every day at 4pm the team would bake a cake and families would come together for a much-needed escape from the ward to talk, communicate and support each other. Over the years our work has evolved but we still see the ‘4 O’Clock Cake’ as a symbol of communication and togetherness.
Host a 4 O’Clock Cake event as a way to get together with friends/colleagues over tea/coffee and cake. Catch up, enjoy a slice of cake and help us raise much needed funds to continue our vital work.
Remember your event doesn’t have to be at 4pm, it is the idea and spirit behind 4 O’Clock Cake that is the most important aspect.
Please email fundraising@edwardstrust.org.uk to request a 4 O’Clock Cake pack that includes everything you will need for your event.
Tag us in your event on social media and we will celebrate your efforts!
