Would you like to be part of something truly special? By volunteering with Edward’s Trust, you can play an integral part in supporting bereaved families while joining a welcoming and compassionate community. Our volunteers are the heart of our charity, helping to fundraise, organise events and spread awareness of our work. If you have been personally touched by grief or simply want to give back, we welcome you to get involved.

Friends of Edward's Trust (FOET)

One of the best ways to connect with our volunteering community is by joining Friends of Edward’s Trust (FOET). This dedicated group of volunteers meets regularly to support the Trust through hands-on volunteering, fundraising and advocacy. FOET was founded in 2014 and has grown from just five members to over 40 active volunteers today. Some members have received support from Edward’s Trust themselves and want to give back, while others have been inspired by our work and want to make a difference.

Volunteering with Edward’s Trust is about more than just giving your time. It’s about being part of a supportive and welcoming community. FOET offers a safe space to meet and socialise with like-minded people, often continuing their relationship with Edward’s Trust after their therapeutic journey has come to an end. We host bi-monthly FOET meetings, where volunteers come together over coffee and cake to share updates, reflect on past events and plan for upcoming opportunities. We also stay connected through a WhatsApp group, making it easy to coordinate, share good news and stay in touch with our volunteer family.

There are many ways to get involved, whether it’s volunteering at events like our Annual Golf Day, supporting our cake sales, helping with bucket collections, selling merchandise, or even using your connections to network on behalf of Edward’s Trust. Whatever your skills, experience or availability, there is a place for you within our volunteering community.

If you would like to make a meaningful impact while meeting like-minded people and having fun along the way, we would love to hear from you. Register your interest using the form on this page, and a member of our team will be in touch to discuss how you can get involved.

"Volunteering this last year, the friends I have made & being with people feeling the same way has helped me cope in a more positive way. I know I can talk about Josh & how I feel and everyone really understands. I thank Edward’s Trust for the help and support they gave my family but also for the help and support they have given me through the FOET group"
