Supporters of Edward’s Trust are gearing up to run, walk and hula hoop for Edward’s Trust’s ’31 in 31’ virtual challenge event.

Last year as part of our 30th Anniversary celebrations, we launched our ‘30 in 30’ sponsored challenge. Supporters completed 30 challenges in 30 days throughout October and raised enough money to offer 106 hours of support to their families. We were delighted that many local businesses as well as individual supporters undertook ’30 in 30’ including; The Binding Site, Keane Brands, HSBC, Dpix Photography, Physio 206, Chrysalis Partners and 101 System Works. This year, we are upping the ante and asking supporters to go a step further and take on ‘31 in 31’ and complete 31 challenges in October. As many of our usual fundraising events are unable to take place due to the pandemic, this is the perfect challenge to do within your support bubble or independently in your home.

The Binding Site is one local business who has supported us since 2012 and will be supporting Edward’s Trust’s ’31 in 31’.

“Here at The Binding Site we really enjoyed supporting Edward’s Trust through ’30 in 30’ last year and again are delighted to be ‘Flying the Kite’ and supporting the ’31 in 31’ challenge for Edward’s Trust this year!” says Charles de Rohan (CEO). “Last year some amazing challenges included: 30 days without a mobile phone, 30 selfies outside 30 football grounds, playing 30 board games in 30 days and 30 minute lunchtime yoga sessions! It will be exciting to see what people come up with for 31 in 31. We are privileged to be involved with the Great Team at ET and pleased to be able to offer our ongoing support in this very tough 2020.”

Yvonne Gilligan, Chief Executive of Edward’s Trust says, “We are so pleased that The Binding Site have decided to support our’31 in 31’ virtual event. They have been supporting Edward’s Trust for a number of years now and we are extremely grateful for their generosity. It costs over £580,000 for Edward’s Trust to provide our bereavement services to the thousands of families we support each year. In order to do this, we rely on the generosity of amazing supporters such as The Binding Site and fundraising events such as ’31 in 31’.”
