What we do
Here at Edward’s Trust we offer a holistic approach to supporting people through bereavement and loss. We offer counselling (1 to 1 or as a couple) support groups, play therapy, wellbeing therapies and social events. We are also able to offer resources and training for those wanting to support people in their grief journey. We offer support to:
- Parents bereaved of their baby or child – whatever the age or circumstance.
- Children and young people aged between 4 – 24 years who are bereaved of a parent, grandparent, significant carer, sibling or friend.
- Bereaved parents/carers of a child or young person who is currently accessing support through Edward’s Trust and who also require support with their grief.
We also offer, advice, support, information and training to professionals working with bereaved families.
For urgent, out of hours support contact The Samaritans on 116 123 or NHS 111 Option 2. From 9am -11pm Birmingham Mind Helpline on 0121 262 3555 is also available.

We provide bereavement counselling or play therapy to children and young people up to the age of 24 who are bereaved of a parent, significant carer, sibling or friend. If, as a professional you want to make a referral, please contact admin@edwardstrust.org.uk or phone 0121 454 1705
If you are making a referral as a third party, please ensure that the child/young person wants to have bereavement counselling and that the parent/guardian of the child/young person is aware of referral. If you have any questions about our criteria, don’t hesitate to give us a call.

14 September - Skydive for 35
This year we are celebrating 35 years of Edward's Trust with a large-scale skydiving event on 14 September at Langar Airfield, Nottingham.
We already have 35 people signed up to jump off a plane to celebrate our three-and-a-half-decade anniversary and raise funds for us to continue the life changing work we do.

Here at Edward's Trust we support the whole person with their bereavement so in addition to counselling we also offer wellbeing sessions with our Wellbeing Therapist and Personal Trainer, Sophie Skipp. Find out more here.
